C+K Careers

New brand, strategic communications support and a new digital focus for leading UK careers service.

In February 2020. I started to work with C&K Careers to assist with their strategic marketing communications – in particular introducing a complementary ‘digital’ delivery model. Two weeks after attending the company’s ‘awayday’, the country went into lockdown, schools were closed and need for increased digital delivery was immediate.

C&K Careers was quick to offer an effective stop-gap digital solution and this enabled us to take time to review the needs of partners, stakeholders, customers and young people and develop a strategy that would be fit for purpose long after pandemic restrictions had been removed.

As part of the digital review, there was an increasing demand to ensure that C&K Careers was able to maximise its reputation outside its traditional geographic area of Calderdale & Kirklees and beyond its core ‘careers advice’ services. C&K Careers was already delivering a range of ‘non-careers advice’ services (NEET management, Into-work support) in and beyond the area – and this was a major business opportunity. As a response to this it was agreed to create a more product and geographically inclusive C+K brand and complement this with a new visual style and brand guidelines.

A new corporate website for C+K was launched in January 2021 and an enhanced digital solution for young people will be launched in March 2021
